History of Valentino's of Fargo
Jim and Diana Fleming opened Valentino's Ristorante in
Fargo on November 4, 1984, and the two have a combined
70 years food service experience.  When Valentino's
opened, there was no road between Valentino's and what
is now Buffalo Wild Wings, and the only other
businesses in the area were Target and West Acres
Shopping Center.  Behind Valentino's lay a farm field
that stretched as far as the eye can see (45th street
didn't exist)
.

Valentino's niche has changed through the years.  After
catering to Fargo's elite diners as one of the area's only
Italian restaurants, Valentino's has changed its focus to
family Italian dining, catering and buffet service.
While several sophisticated ethnic eateries have opened in
Fargo, Valentino's unique flavors and selection have
enabled it to thrive amidst the corporate mega-chains
that surround it.

Jim and Di put both their children through school
in Fargo and are now empty-nesters.  Although
their boys attended Shanley, Jim and Di find
their loyalties divided among the many schools
from which long-time employees and
customers have graduated.

The family enjoys golf, horseback riding and
community events.
